"Orchestra"- Katana's Information Report

An orchestra is where a group of people play instruments. There are four types of instrument families called the strings, brass, woodwind and percussion

. One of the orchestra families is the string instruments. The string instruments are played by using a bow or plucking the strings. My favourite string instrument is the harp. 

Another family of instruments is called percussion. They are played by being hit or shaken. My favourite percussion instrument is xylophone.

 The flute is in the woodwind family. Originally all woodwind instruments were made from wood. To play a woodwind instrument you blow into the mouth piece. 

Last of all is the brass family. The instruments in this family are made from shiny metal. When these instruments are played together they make beautiful music.

The Accident- Sample Writing

katana's Water Cycle Story

As a part of our Inquiry the students had to learn about the water cycle. This is a story that Katana wrote about a little puddle that demonstrates her knowledge about the water cycle.
